Happy 4th of July!

I love this holiday. The 4th of July is my favoritest (that IS a word, isn't it?) holiday next to Thanksgiving. From the cook outs, to the playing outside, to the fireworks, it's a great holiday. Not to mention the reasons behind the 4th of July...

Emma loved the fireworks! But after a bit of watching them while sitting on Robert's shoulders, she was ready to watch the rest of Nemo and eat my amazing Cheesecake Cupcakes. Oh yes, they are yummy. I'll post the recipe later, but really, these things are yummy.

The 4th of July also is special to me because Robert proposed to me on the 4th of July in Chicago five years ago. He knew how much i loved the 4th and planned this trip we took. We were on a dinner cruise that left from the Navy Pier and we were in the middle of watching the most amazing fireworks in the middle of Navy Pier when i noticed that he was sweating. Of course, i was busy watching the fireworks, but when he started stuttering, i knew something was up. I was trying to pay attention to him, but the fireworks? They were SO amazing....that i almost missed him asking me to marry him.

Of course, he asked me because the "planets aligned"....which is another whole favorite story of mine. :)

Happy 4th of July, everyone....i hope that your day was wonderful!

The 4th is my favorite too! 2nd is Halloween because I love all the kiddo's all dressed up. I've already been online picking out a costume for the baby! haha. How sweet of your hubby to propose on the 4th. Navy Pier would be an awesome place to do it too!! I love Chicago!
