...and grateful that our flooding wasn't worse. Other than a bit of water in the crawl space, everything here is fine. The water in the crawl space is gone, but the past two days have been long ones.
Nashville and it's surrounding areas, well, haven't been so lucky. More than 13 inches fell in and around Nashville in the past two days with some areas getting even more rain. The photo of Interstate 24 is one exit up from us; one building was caught on video floating down Interstate 24 and passing standed cars. It was a shocking thing to watch on TV. From the water rescues (which are estimated to be over 600 rescues) to the updates on the water in other areas, it was stunning to watch.
We've basically hunkered down here at home....and although i truly wanted to get out with my camera, i have stayed put. The photos of the street is Sunset Road which is the road that we use to get to Nolensville Road. Yeah, that's a whole bunch of water, isn't it?!?!
Keep Nashville and it's surrounding areas in your prayers...many families have lost their homes, lost everything. As everything dries out, i'm sure that there will be much more damage reported...
